About The Position

AmberSemi is looking for a full time IC Analog Design Engineer to develop disruptive silicon integrated products using innovative, proprietary high voltage, analog-mixed signal & sensing technologies. This role will involve working on IC architecture feasibility, silicon design, implementation to final product deployment.

Requirements

  • Experience in IC silicon design and development of analog-mixed signal and digital systems
  • Proficiency in RTL coding and design verification
  • Strong background in analog mixed-signal circuit design and simulation
  • Familiarity with SOC architecture and mixed-signal design specifications
  • Experience with chip-level integration and test plan development
  • Knowledge of physical design processes and collaboration with layout/mask designers
  • Ability to support test program development and chip validation
  • Experience with back-end design verification tools and flows
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the IC silicon design, development of analog-mixed signal, digital systems for AC direct power system products
  • Drive the IC top-level architecture definition, design of the analog & digital circuits, subsystems Register Transfer Level (RTL) coding, design, implementation & verification
  • Perform design & simulation for integration of functional units and subsystems into full chip
  • Architecture, design, simulate and verify analog mixed-signal circuits for optimum power/speed/area efficiency
  • Closely work with SOC system architects to define mixed-signal design specifications
  • Supervise the RTL-to-GDS flow and assist with synthesis and timing closure
  • Drive the chip-level integration, test plan development and verification
  • Work in collaboration with physical design engineers on mixed-signal design chip level planning and integration
  • Closely work with and supervise layout/mask designers by providing annotated schematics, floor plans, layout, reliability and manufacturability design guidelines
  • Support the test program development, chip validation, and product life until production maturity
  • Closely work with product platform architects and packaging team for Power Integrity and Power Distribution Network analysis in mixed-signal design applications
  • Experience in back-end design verification tools and flows including debugging LVS and DRC issues in collaboration with the layout team
  • Perform early prototyping using FPGAs, power system modeling, algorithms, analysis, verification, and performance optimization
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a geographically distributed engineering team.
