About the position

The IC Test Engineer position at Keysight involves innovating and delivering high-frequency, state-of-the-art on-wafer test solutions for integrated circuits (ICs). This role is crucial in characterizing and screening Keysight's internally designed ICs, contributing to the development of advanced measurement solutions in various markets including wireless communications and aerospace. The position emphasizes collaboration within a diverse engineering team and requires hands-on work with test systems in Santa Rosa, California.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop test plans and procedures for ICs, including defining test methodologies and creating test programs.
  • Perform functional tests and characterization on ICs using custom-built test stations and other tools to assess performance, functionality, and reliability.
  • Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues, providing detailed reports and recommendations based on findings.
  • Troubleshoot and debug test failures, collaborating with in-house design and process engineering teams to resolve issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance test efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of test procedures, results, and corrective actions.

Requirements

  • B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or closely related field, with thesis work and/or relevant industry experience in mm-wave IC characterization.
  • Experience in RF Characterization of active and passive components (e.g. Reflection Coefficient, Matching, TOI, P1dB, Noise Figure, etc.).
  • Expertise using test and measurement equipment (e.g. a network analyzer, signal source, spectrum analyzer, etc.).
  • Experience in wafer probe calibration and measurements of integrated circuits.
  • Software development experience.
  • Expertise in automating electrical test.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in IC testing.
  • Knowledge in Semiconductor device physics/manufacturing processes.
  • Expertise in RF and analog integrated circuit design and analysis.
  • Knowledge in statistical analysis and process improvement.
  • Experience programming in C#, .NET, and Visual Studio.
  • Experience in PCB board design.
  • Experience in mechanical design CAD.
  • Experience using ADS or equivalent tools.
