About the position

ECS is seeking an ICAM Database Administrator (Oracle) to work in our Washington, DC office. This role involves providing senior-level guidance and management for a Federal Credentialing unit, supporting a dynamic customer in the law enforcement and intelligence sector. The position requires an active Top-Secret Clearance and focuses on configuring Oracle applications and databases, responding to service tickets, and maintaining system health checks.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to Tier-3 and 4 service tickets and special projects with senior level engineering.
  • Configure Oracle applications and databases, including Oracle Application Servers (WebLogic), Applications (OIM), and Databases (Oracle Database 12c/19c).
  • Develop new or existing software architectural plans and designs.
  • Create/Update Automated System Health Checks for daily, weekly, and monthly status.
  • Support System backup/recovery, Continuity of Operations (COOP), and Data Center Disaster Recovery (DCDR) exercises and activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge for both tools and operating systems as new versions are approved for use.

Requirements

  • Must have a Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ recent years of experience with DBA/engineering.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining web applications in an enterprise RedHat environment.
  • 3+ recent years of experience writing technical documentation including System Design Changes, Requirements Documentation, Version Documentation, Assessments, and/or White Papers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong understanding of Exadata components and architecture.
  • Experience with Exadata Storage Server, Smart Scans, and Hybrid Columnar Compression.
  • Expertise in database performance tuning specifically on Exadata.
  • Experience with Exadata backup and recovery strategies, including RMAN.
  • Knowledge of managing and maintaining LDAP directory services using OID.
  • Experience integrating OID with other Oracle applications, including Oracle Identity Manager.
  • Expertise in managing user provisioning and identity lifecycle management within OIM.
