About the position

The Lead Solutions Engineer will provide business, technical, architectural, and engineering guidance for both unclassified and classified environments. This role involves directing day-to-day activities, developing strategies, and maximizing customer value while differentiating GDIT from competitors. The engineer will engage with stakeholders, develop technical plans, and ensure the delivery of effective system solutions to support business goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide business, technical, architectural, and engineering guidance to development teams and customers.
• Direct day-to-day activities assigned to areas of responsibility.
• Develop strategies and technical capabilities in conjunction with the solutions architect.
• Create technical plans, drawings, and white papers.
• Lead technical meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct analysis of alternatives with the solutions architect.
• Engage with program customers to provide expert guidance and solutions.
• Identify solutions based on business and technical criteria.
• Research current and emerging technologies and propose changes.
• Assess existing business process architectures and recommend improvements.
• Ensure technical architecture teams deliver efficient system solutions.
• Prepare and present test plans and technical presentations.
• Identify customer requirements and conduct product recommendations.
• Provide updates on project cost, schedule, and quality.
• Provide expert guidance and leadership to less-experienced colleagues.

Requirements

• Minimum active DoD Security Clearance of SECRET or higher.
• Active CompTIA Security+ CE certification or higher.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 15+ years of IT experience in engineering and development.
• 8+ years of experience in solutions engineering in Microsoft or other software development.
• Extensive experience with implementing PKI and PIV standards.
• Extensive experience in creating architecture solutions for cloud environments.
• Experience with SailPoint, Radiant Logic, Microsoft, CyberArk.
• Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment.
