About the position

As the Lead Solutions Engineer, you will provide business, technical, architectural, and engineering guidance to development teams and customers for both unclassified and classified environments. This role involves directing day-to-day activities, developing strategies, and creating technical plans to maximize customer value while differentiating GDIT in the marketplace. You will also be responsible for defining, designing, and implementing the full lifecycle of products and services, and conducting analysis of alternatives to support business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide business, technical, architectural, and engineering guidance to development teams and customers.
  • Direct day-to-day activities assigned to your areas of responsibility.
  • Develop strategies, business concepts, and technical capabilities in conjunction with the solutions architect.
  • Create technical plans, drawings, white papers, and lead technical meetings with stakeholders.
  • Engage with program customers, providing expert guidance and solutions.
  • Identify solutions based on business and technical criteria, analyzing alternatives and implementing designs.
  • Research current and emerging technologies and propose changes as needed.
  • Assess existing business process architectures and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure technical architecture teams deliver effective system solutions to support business goals.
  • Prepare and present test plans, technical presentations, and analyst briefings.
  • Provide updates to stakeholders on project cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Provide expert guidance and leadership to less-experienced colleagues.

Requirements

  • Minimum active DoD Security Clearance of SECRET or higher.
  • Active CompTIA Security+ CE certification or higher.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 15+ years of IT experience in engineering and development.
  • 8+ years of experience in solutions engineering in Microsoft or other software development.
  • Extensive experience with implementing PKI and PIV standards.
  • Extensive experience in creating architecture solutions for cloud environments.
  • Experience with SailPoint, Radiant Logic, Microsoft, CyberArk.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment.
