About the position

As the Lead Solutions Engineer, you will provide business, technical, architectural, and engineering guidance to development teams and customers for both unclassified and classified environments. This role involves directing day-to-day activities, developing strategies, and creating technical plans to maximize customer value while differentiating GDIT in the marketplace. You will also be responsible for defining, designing, and implementing the full lifecycle of products and services, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective solutions that support business goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide business, technical, architectural, and engineering guidance to development teams and customers.
• Direct day-to-day activities assigned to your areas of responsibility.
• Develop strategies, business concepts, and technical capabilities in conjunction with the solutions architect.
• Create technical plans, drawings, white papers, and lead technical meetings with stakeholders.
• Conduct analysis of alternatives with the solutions architect to determine the best solutions.
• Engage with program customers, providing expert guidance and solutions.
• Research current and emerging technologies and propose changes as needed.
• Assess existing business process architectures and recommend improvements.
• Prepare and present test plans, technical presentations, and analyst briefings.
• Identify customer requirements and conduct product recommendations related to software and network configurations.

Requirements

• Minimum active DoD Security Clearance of SECRET or higher.
• Active CompTIA Security+ CE certification or higher.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, considering other combinations of education, certifications, and experience.
• 15+ years of IT experience in engineering and development.
• 8+ years of experience in solutions engineering in Microsoft or other software development.
