About the position

The Controls and Automation Engineer will be responsible for supporting site production equipment, computer systems, software, hardware, and networks. This role involves troubleshooting, implementing changes, driving to root cause of issues, and identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects. The position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities from robotics to general automation, networking, and vision systems, while also supporting maintenance and production teams with both day-to-day and long-term solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support site production equipment, computer systems, software, hardware, and networks.
• Troubleshoot and implement changes to production systems.
• Drive to root cause of issues and implement new tools using digital solutions.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects.
• Work on PLC programming, Servos, VFD, and hardware.
• Support network upgrade activities in Sikeston.
• Attend weekly calls and provide updates to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, software engineering, computer engineering or related field.
• At least 2-3 years of industrial experience.
• Knowledge of electrical controls and automation systems.
• Proficient with MS Office, Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000, SQL Database, and Networking.
• Strong fundamental knowledge of control and electrical system design in automated industrial designs.
• Critical thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proactive, resourceful, and highly motivated with good communication skills.
