About the position

In this role, you will oversee the organization and production of ice cream for multiple Rockwell Ice Cream Co. locations as well as numerous wholesale customers. As part of this, you will perform the ordering of all ingredients and supplies needed for production, cleaning, and maintenance within the facility. You will be in charge of scheduling staff for maximum ice cream production efficiency. Additionally, you will implement and enforce food safety standards and SOPs, including regularly verifying written reports and logs with the staff for the entire facility. You will liaise with the Director of Operations and our Food Safety expert to ensure proper management of the facility and adequate, safe, timely production of the ice cream. Your responsibilities will also include staffing, training, and retraining for ice cream production, as well as general operations and cleaning. You will be the point of contact for any wholesale customers as well as any of our food suppliers. Furthermore, you will oversee Quality Assurance for the facility and perform regular quality checks on finished products. This is an all-encompassing role due to the small, yet growing, nature of Rockwell Creamery. We are looking for a full-time worker who has a strong background and understanding in food production and food safety. A Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field (baker and/or pastry experience) is preferred, but not required. Strong time management and organizational skills will be critical to success in this position. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in Facilities Management.
  • 1 year of experience in Food Production.
  • 1 year of experience in Food Safety.
  • Strong background and understanding in food production and food safety.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
