About the position

The Warehouse & Ice Cream Production Manager at Snelgrove Ice Cream is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all production and warehouse activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This role combines hands-on mechanical skills with a strong aptitude for technology, focusing on implementing and managing inventory and order management software. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving processes through data-driven decisions and will play a key role in the growth of the Snelgrove brand.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily ice cream production, ensuring it meets quality standards and production goals.
  • Take charge of inventory and order management software, managing user access and optimizing system settings.
  • Continuously refine workflows in the warehouse and production areas using technology to enhance efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to ensure continuous production and efficient maintenance routines.
  • Ensure all production and warehouse equipment meets food safety standards for cleaning and sanitization.
  • Maintain accurate, real-time records using inventory software, optimizing stock levels and minimizing downtime.
  • Oversee order processing, using technology to streamline workflows and meet demand effectively.
  • Maintain comprehensive digital records for production, inventory, and equipment; provide regular reports to management.
  • Develop and implement warehouse protocols to organize, track, and improve storage layout.
  • Train and supervise warehouse and production staff, ensuring adherence to safety and efficiency protocols.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in warehouse and production management, ideally in food production.
  • Strong understanding of and ability to troubleshoot mechanical processes.
  • Demonstrated tech-savviness, with the ability to quickly learn, administer, and optimize new software systems.
  • Familiarity with food safety practices, including cleaning and sanitizing protocols.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
