Ice Road Driver or Operator

About the position

Northern Energy Services is seeking seasonal Ice Road Drivers and Operators for work on the North Slope of Alaska. The role involves operating various types of trucks and heavy equipment primarily on ice roads, with a focus on safety and compliance with company policies. The position requires a valid CDL A license and offers competitive pay with a structured work rotation.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks and equipment for north slope ice road construction.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Comply with company and customer policies and procedures.
• Monitor equipment operation and identify malfunctions.
• Report all incidents involving injuries, spills, equipment malfunction or damage to the supervisor.
• Support zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of trucking or operating experience
• Class A CDL
• North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification
• Current DOT Medical Card
• Complete or maintain Red Book Transporter Training

Nice-to-haves

• Arctic oilfield experience
• Experience with front end loaders, dozers, vac trucks, super suckers and other oilfield equipment
