The ICS Network Engineer Level II at Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) plays a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting network devices, systems, and applications within the Industrial Control Systems (ICS) environment. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can work with limited guidance from senior team members. The engineer will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including software installation and configuration, troubleshooting network and application issues, and providing end-user assistance for various services within the ICS network. The incumbent will ensure the reliability and functionality of the ICS system, contributing to the overall mission of CGS to support critical government operations. In this role, the engineer will investigate and plan new deployments for various ICS-related assets, such as cameras and workstations. They will troubleshoot and diagnose application issues in Windows 10/11, Windows Server, and Linux environments, escalating issues as necessary. The engineer will also address network communication issues, perform routine application and database maintenance, and support the stability and integrity of the ICS environment. Additionally, they will be responsible for racking and cabling networking equipment, performing preventative maintenance on assets, and maintaining accurate documentation for all assets in the ICS environment. The role also includes assisting end users with application use and installation/configuration, as well as performing other duties as assigned.
