About the position

The Quality Coordinator/RN position at Northern Nevada Medical Group is a full-time role focused on leading quality initiatives in Population Health. The Quality Coordinator RN will collaborate with various stakeholders to drive quality best practices, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and develop tools for data capture. This role also involves tracking quality performance metrics and optimizing patient outcomes through effective leadership and collaboration with care teams.

Responsibilities

  • Drive quality best practices in collaboration with payers, providers, and support staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and develop recommendations for quality remediation plans.
  • Create tools and databases to capture relevant data for the region.
  • Lead the local quality support team and allocate responsibilities among quality support staff.
  • Develop collaborative payer relationships to maximize resource utilization for patient care.
  • Track quality performance and disseminate performance metrics to stakeholders.
  • Participate in the development of an annual work plan for improvement of STAR ratings, HEDIS, and MIPS performance.
  • Support system efforts including MSO initiatives and new payer contracts.
  • Create and support quality-based clinic workflows to capture gaps in care.
  • Educate clinical staff on HCC capture and RAF maximization.
  • Provide leadership in the ongoing development of quality patient care across the care continuum.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing education program.
  • Active RN license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Population Health/Quality experience in healthcare, preferably ambulatory based.
  • Experience with HEDIS, STARS, and MIPS metrics.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
