About the position

As a Registered Nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact while enjoying competitive pay packages, comprehensive benefits, and support from a dedicated clinical team. This is a 13-week travel assignment in Jackson, MI, where you will work 3 shifts of 12 hours each week. Your role will involve providing and coordinating patient care, monitoring patients' responses to interventions, and collaborating with other health team members.
Responsibilities
- Communicates and collaborates with physicians and other health team members.
- Provides and coordinates patient care with other health team members.
- Monitors patients' responses to interventions and reports outcomes.
- Administers medications as ordered with appropriate documentation.
- Monitors and evaluates patients before, during, and post procedure depending on unit.
- Shares on-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time if required.
- Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies.
- Transports patients as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One to three years experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
- Must have a valid RN license in the state where they will be practicing.
- BLS certification required; Critical Care Nursing Certification (CCRN) is preferred.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
- PC skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Intensive care nursing experience is essential.
- Other certifications may be required for this position.
