About the position

The IAM SailPoint Developer Lead at Ameris Bank is a key role responsible for designing and developing Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, specifically focusing on SailPoint IdentityNow. This position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure effective implementation and support of IAM services, while also serving as a subject matter expert in the field. The role emphasizes the importance of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team to deliver high-quality outcomes for customers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver modern Identity and Access Management integrations as a subject matter expert in IGA technology.
• Build identity lifecycle automation, RBAC, identity policies, and reporting in SailPoint IdentityNow.
• Develop and maintain reports on the health and performance of SailPoint IdentityNow.
• Lead large projects to provide IGA solutions for business units.
• Develop and document standards, architecture, implementation procedures, and operational runbooks.
• Research industry trends around IAM and provide strategic recommendations.
• Provide detailed estimates and work breakdown of typical activities.
• Maintain awareness of recent technologies and competitive trends.
• Oversee third-party vendor technical work to ensure quality.
• Train, mentor, direct, and validate the work of other engineers.
• Participate in after-hours on-call support rotation for solutions implementation.

Requirements

• 10+ years in IT, cybersecurity, and IAM, with a focus in IAM required.
• 6+ years in SailPoint IAM engineering required.
• Ability to build java bean shell, workflow, JML, custom rule.
• Deep knowledge of REST Web Services, SAML 2.0, OAuth, WS-Security, and other authentication/authorization protocols.
• Strong understanding of IAM standards like SCIM, WS-Fed, SAML, OpenID Connect, and OAuth.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
• Ability to self-manage, prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Rest Web services, SAML 2.0, SailPoint Identity Now, OAuth, OpenID, WS-Security, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and other authentication/authorization protocols strongly preferred.
• Financial industry experience preferred.
