About the position

The Identity & Access Management Service Optimization Engineer I is responsible for providing enterprise-level support and best practices for identity access management (IAM) services, including Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Active Directory, SailPoint IdentityNow, Certificate Services (PKI), M365, and CyberArk. This role focuses on optimizing technology-based business solutions and ensuring seamless transitions of new products and designs to service optimization. The engineer serves as a subject matter expert, collaborating with various teams to support and enhance platform performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide enterprise-level support for IAM services including Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Active Directory, and CyberArk.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of PowerShell and working knowledge of JSON, REST, and API integrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment of platform and product designs.
  • Monitor and analyze platform performance to ensure it meets predetermined thresholds.
  • Propose procedures and solutions to optimize team functionality and reduce costs.
  • Implement platform technology in line with established strategies.
  • Identify and support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Participate in research and make recommendations on products and services for infrastructure development.
  • Perform environment capacity planning and performance monitoring on platform hardware.
  • Serve as the first level for troubleshooting and escalation of critical issues, providing 24x7 support.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and ensure documentation is maintained and meets requirements.
  • Accountable for the security configuration of supported solutions and oversee implementation of security controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Five years of progressive experience in IT disciplines such as solution engineering, security management, and project management.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Comprehensive skills in technical documentation, DevOps, and ITIL concepts.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and SaaS applications.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing security controls and compliance requirements.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with disaster recovery planning and exercises.
  • Familiarity with compliance validation processes.
  • Knowledge of current best practices in IAM and related technologies.
