About the position

The Identity Management Analyst position at GW Information Technology (GW IT) is an entry-level role focused on providing operational support for the university's identity and access management (IAM) systems. The role involves data analysis, application enhancements, and customer-facing responsibilities, requiring strong communication and technical writing skills. The analyst will also support financial audit data collection and security administration, contributing to the overall digital transformation and innovation at GW.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day operational tasks related to identity and access management systems.
  • Conduct data analysis for identity management application extensions, event handlers, connectors, and web services.
  • Review programs for new and enhanced application design and documentation.
  • Provide support for upgrades of identity management applications and related modifications.
  • Assist in financial audit data collection and financial services security administration.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Familiarity with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) identity automation methodologies: Design, Model, Execute, Monitor, and Optimize.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders, testers, end users, and developers.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Business Process automation and mapping.
  • Familiarity with Process automation methodologies: Design, Model, Execute, Monitor, and Optimize.
  • Experience with SQL and PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint features and capabilities.
  • Experience with Workflow automation toolsets.
  • Experience with ITSM tools, e.g., Remedy; ServiceNow.
  • Understanding of Identity Management applications and concepts.
