About the position

The Identity Sales Engineer at Rubrik is a pivotal role focused on providing technical leadership and business guidance for the company's cloud data management and security solutions. This position is integral to the RubrikX product incubation team, where the individual will develop and execute the corporate technical go-to-market strategy, ensuring alignment with product line revenue goals. The role involves engaging with enterprise customers across North America, serving as a trusted advisor, and leading technical sales initiatives to drive the adoption of Rubrik's innovative offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical leadership and direction to Rubrik, customers, and prospects in the development and positioning of Rubrik's cloud native data protection solutions.
  • Serves as a trusted technology advisor to customers and a public cloud subject matter expert when positioning Rubrik's cloud capabilities to key accounts.
  • Leads technical sales calls, gathers and analyzes customer feedback, and identifies trends.
  • Qualifies sales opportunities in terms of customer technical requirements, competition, decision-making process, and funding.
  • Maintains a consistent cadence with product management to ensure product roadmap alignment with customer demands.
  • Assists with the development of marketing and sales collateral to ensure alignment with customer needs and technical accuracy.
  • Aids in the development and delivery of technical enablement to Rubrik, channel, and alliance partner sales architects.
  • Cross-functionally drives the adoption of Rubrik's cloud native protection technologies throughout Rubrik and the public cloud ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales engineering experience in a cyber security environment with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and/or cloud hosting is preferred.
  • Strong hands-on, 'can do' approach with a need for success and high energy.
  • Fundamental breadth of technical knowledge in cloud data management, backup and disaster recovery, and data analytics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple calls/demos per day with immediate follow-up.
  • High level of business acumen and experience working with CxO level personnel.
