About the position

Rubrik is seeking a highly motivated Identity Sales Engineer to join their team in Nashville, Tennessee. This role focuses on providing technical leadership and business guidance for Rubrik's cloud-native data protection solutions, particularly in the cyber security domain. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the corporate technical go-to-market strategy, overseeing key account technical pre-sales activities, and ensuring alignment between product management and customer demands. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact within a disruptive tech company while working closely with enterprise and major customers across North America.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and direction to Rubrik, customers, and prospects regarding cloud-native data protection solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted technology advisor and public cloud subject matter expert for key accounts.
  • Lead technical sales calls, gather and analyze customer feedback, and identify trends.
  • Qualify sales opportunities based on customer technical requirements and decision-making processes.
  • Maintain consistent communication with product management to align product roadmap with customer needs.
  • Assist in developing marketing and sales collateral to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with customer needs.
  • Aid in the development and delivery of technical enablement for Rubrik, channel, and alliance partner sales architects.
  • Drive the adoption of Rubrik's cloud-native protection technologies across the public cloud ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales engineering experience in a cyber security environment with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and/or cloud hosting is preferred.
  • Strong hands-on, 'can do' approach with a drive for success.
  • Fundamental breadth of technical knowledge in cloud data management, backup and disaster recovery, and data analytics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple calls/demos per day with immediate follow-up.
  • High level of business acumen and experience working with CxO level personnel.
