About the position

The IDS Paralegal at McCarter & English will support the preparation and filing of Information Disclosure Statements (IDS) and assist with various tasks related to patent prosecution. This role is essential for ensuring compliance with USPTO rules and procedures while maintaining organized electronic client files.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file Information Disclosure Statements (IDS).
• Perform other IDS and patent prosecution related tasks and projects.
• Maintain electronic client files.
• Prepare Section 18 charts.

Requirements

• 1+ year(s) of IDS experience preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Comprehensive knowledge of preparation and filing of information disclosure statements.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of most current USPTO rules and procedures.
• Extensive knowledge of preparation and filing of information disclosure statements.
• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Knowledge of effective proofreading techniques.
• Comprehensive knowledge of IPDAS and CPI.
• Ability to work effectively and proactively in a team environment.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
