About the position

The IESO Senior Business Operations Specialist role involves advanced technical and analytical work focused on reviewing and redesigning business processes, as well as configuring and designing enterprise software for the Commonwealth's Integrated Enterprise System Office (IESO) SAP system. This position is crucial for producing workable solutions and resolving complex issues for key Commonwealth agencies, ensuring continuity and discipline within the IESO Plant Maintenance Team. The specialist will provide expertise to align SAP functionality with agency business needs, serving as a single point of accountability within the Bureau of Business Operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuity and discipline within the IESO Plant Maintenance Team.
• Handle the design, configuration, testing, and implementation of SAP software.
• Maintain and enhance business processes supported by SAP modules like Plant Maintenance (PM) and Flexible Real Estate (FRE).
• Understand, develop, and support key information objects for efficient operation of SAP modules.
• Provide recommendations to align SAP functionality with agency business needs and priorities.
• Exercise broad decision-making authority within specific areas to support Commonwealth business requirements.

Requirements

• Five years of professional work in a business operations area; or
• One year of professional work in a business operations area, and a bachelor's degree in public administration, business management, information systems or related field; or
• One year of technical work in the review and redesign of business processes and the configuration and design of enterprise software in an SAP environment; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.
