About the position

The IGA DevSecOps Engineer plays a pivotal role in enhancing cybersecurity by integrating security measures within the software development lifecycle. This position is crucial for assessing development pipelines, embedding security protocols, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement automated security testing and deployment processes. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring that security is a fundamental aspect of the infrastructure and applications from the outset, thereby preventing potential breaches and data loss. In this role, the engineer will create, develop, and implement solutions that meet both infrastructure and security requirements. This includes automating security controls and continuously monitoring for vulnerabilities to ensure compliance and security integrity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in DevOps with a specific focus on security, and will have hands-on experience with tools such as GitHub, Terraform, and Jira. The engineer will also be tasked with managing the seamless integration of DevSecOps processes that align with the organization's missions and identity management framework. Staying current with emerging IGA and IAM technologies and trends will be essential for driving continuous improvement and innovation in security practices. The IGA DevSecOps Engineer will be instrumental in safeguarding the organization against cyber threats, ensuring that the user remains the last frontier in cybersecurity. This role is not only about implementing security measures but also about fostering a culture of security awareness and proactive threat management within the development teams.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate security measures within the software development lifecycle.
  • Assess development pipelines for security vulnerabilities.
  • Embed automated security testing and deployment processes.
  • Create and implement solutions to meet infrastructure and security requirements.
  • Automate security controls and continuously monitor for vulnerabilities.
  • Manage the integration of DevSecOps processes with identity management frameworks.
  • Stay current with emerging IGA and IAM technologies and trends.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in security practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with designing and implementing DevSecOps practices.
  • 5+ years of experience with DevSecOps tools such as GitHub, Terraform, and Jira.
  • Experience with conducting security assessments and compliance checks.
  • Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code deployments.
  • Experience with automated security controls and vulnerability management within deployment pipelines.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Knowledge of configuration as code and infrastructure as code principles.
  • Ability to develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple environments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
  • HS diploma or GED.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in an agile delivery team.
  • Experience with presenting technical briefs to senior leadership.
  • Knowledge of various Access Control Frameworks, including NIST 800-63.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and coach technical staff.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS or Software Engineering.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are a plus.
  • Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP).
