The IHBT Community-Based Clinician position at the National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) is a vital role that involves working closely with youth, families, and community partners to provide advocacy and support. Under the general supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or designee, the clinician will be part of an integral service team dedicated to helping clients live safely and successfully within their communities. This position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality mental health services, including individual, group, and family therapy, case management, and crisis intervention. As a Community-Based Therapist, you will manage a small caseload, traveling daily to provide in-home services to youth and families. You will meet with each client 2-3 times per week, coordinating and monitoring services across various sectors, including mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services. Regular reviews and modifications of youth-based plans will be necessary to ensure consistent progress towards written goals. Building strong relationships with assigned foster parents and families of origin is crucial, as is assisting in family reunification and stabilization efforts. The clinician will also be responsible for conducting safety assessments and providing crisis response and behavioral stabilization services as needed to ensure the safety and stability of the youth served.
