About the position

St. Luke's Health System is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst 1 to join their Cyber Risk team in Boise, ID. This entry-level position involves assisting in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures, supporting cybersecurity solutions, and assessing risks under direct supervision. The role focuses on identifying security gaps, conducting risk assessments, and participating in daily security operations to enhance the organization's cybersecurity posture.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
• Support cyber security solutions and assess risks under supervision.
• Identify security gaps and provide support as an entry-level information security consultant.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of security Policies, Standards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Participate in activities to enhance information security awareness within the organization.
• Perform information security risk assessments, including 3rd party risk assessments, as tasked or under supervision.
• Analyze and investigate security events to support the security incident response process.
• Monitor systems and configure security tools as part of daily security operations.
• Review vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate vulnerabilities effectively.
• Provide training to the cybersecurity team in security tools and adherence to security best practices.
• Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats and evolving technologies.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security Engineers to fine-tune security tools and improve security processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Entry-level position requiring less than 1 year of experience in information security.
