About the position

The IIB Developer position is a long-term contract role focused on developing integration solutions for a healthcare client. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and a strong understanding of IBM Integration Bus (IIB) and healthcare integration standards. The ideal candidate will work in a hybrid environment, primarily based in Hartford, CT, and will be responsible for ensuring data exchange and interoperability within healthcare systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy integration solutions using IBM Integration Bus (IIB), ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver solutions that support healthcare data exchange and interoperability.
  • Create and manage message flows and other integration components within IIB to streamline data processing and transmission across the client's healthcare systems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional Agile teams, including product owners, quality assurance, and DevOps, to ensure successful and timely delivery of integration solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related issues, optimizing IIB applications for performance and reliability.
  • Stay updated on healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB) or similar integration technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and healthcare industry integration requirements.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to operate effectively in a hybrid work model.
