About the position

The Illusions Curator at the Museum of Illusions Dallas is responsible for providing an engaging and informative experience for guests visiting the museum. This role involves greeting guests, guiding them through exhibits, and ensuring their satisfaction during their visit. The ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and possesses strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests visiting the Museum.
• Direct and guide guests on how to navigate the Museum and provide information on the various exhibits and rooms.
• Assist guests with how to best photograph their experience with different illusions.
• Guide guests through the Museum shop and provide information on the different games.
• Sell tickets through a POS system.
• Execute marketing plans such as encouraging guests to leave reviews on social media or through distribution of promotion materials.
• Ensure guests are completely and fully satisfied with their visit and experience at the Museum.
• Escalate and immediately bring up any and all guest-related issues to Management.
• Answer, screen, respond to and forward incoming phone calls.
• Ensure the entire Museum is tidy and presentable.
• Ensure that all guests abide by the Museum guidelines.
• Provide basic and accurate information on guest queries, in-person and via phone.
• Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
• Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk.

• Customer service experience.
• Solid communication skills.
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
