About the position

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented children's book illustrator and Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team. This part-time role focuses on creating visually compelling designs that align with our brand identity and effectively communicate our message across multiple platforms, specifically for children's literature aimed at ages 3-10.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design illustrations for children's books aimed at children ages 3-10.
• Apply color theory and typesetting skills to ensure effective communication through visual elements.
• Layout for front and back covers of books.
• Share social media posts regarding the process of illustrations.
• Bring a fun and excited attitude to work in a new startup company.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Ability to create colorful and imaginative books for kids.
• Graphic design experience of at least 1 year.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (1 year preferred).
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator (1 year preferred).
• Ability to commute to San Clemente, CA 92673 (preferred).
• Willingness to relocate to San Clemente, CA 92673 before starting work (preferred).
