About the position

The Product Engineer role at Siemens EDA focuses on the development of Inverse Lithography Tooling and mask synthesis flows for advanced patterning processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of enabling RET/OPC capabilities for next-generation lithography processes, requiring collaboration with various teams including R&D, product marketing, and Quality Assurance. The role involves evaluating tool performance, proposing improvements, and providing technical support to customers.

Responsibilities

• Development of test cases, shell scripts, and SVRF for exploring patterning scenarios in inverse lithography.
• Objective evaluation of tool performance and analysis of limitations against customer specifications.
• Collaboration with R&D engineering to propose solutions for tool limitations.
• Testing and documenting improvements post-implementation.
• Utilization of PowerPoint, Jira, and Confluence for clear data presentation.
• Leading small groups of engineers on focused projects.
• Tracking progress using quantifiable metrics.
• Publishing and presenting at industry conferences, representing Siemens EDA.
• Providing technical support and training to customers, defining new capabilities, and supporting research partnerships.
• Communicating the value and benefits of new features and capabilities to product marketing.

Requirements

• BSEE or MSEE/MS in Physics, Physical Chemistry, Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines required.
• 1-3 years of industry lithography or OPC experience is desirable.
• Working familiarity with Unix and Linux OS is required.
• Experience with TCL, Perl, Python scripting, or C programming is desirable.
