About the position

The IM+CANS Coaching Specialist at the School of Social Work is responsible for providing coaching and mentorship to community behavioral health staff and leadership in Illinois. This role focuses on the effective use of the IM+CANS assessment tool and the TCOM philosophy, supporting the implementation of clinical initiatives through training and Learning Collaboratives. The specialist will also serve as a Subject Matter Expert, developing training curricula and providing ongoing support for new service initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-person and online coaching sessions and Learning Collaboratives with community behavioral health staff and leadership.
  • Engage with Medicaid enrolled providers to assess agency-specific challenges and build strategies for effective implementation of IM+CANS.
  • Work with the Clinical Quality Review team to ensure providers align with best practices in implementation efforts.
  • Lead the development of Learning Collaboratives to support the usage of IM+CANS and client-centered philosophies.
  • Develop training and coaching curriculum for intermediate and advanced use of the IM+CANS tool.
  • Provide feedback as a Subject Matter Expert on new services and IM+CANS implementation efforts.
  • Plan and deliver web-based and on-site training statewide for the IM+CANS tool and related topics.
  • Train providers on newly launched Medicaid services to support successful development and implementation.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Clinical licensure in Illinois, LPHA status pursuant to 89 ILAC 140.453.
  • 1-3 years of Behavioral Health Services (Clinical) experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience as an IM+CANS user/supervisor.
  • Active IM+CANS user certification including past training received through PATH.
  • IM+CANS trainer level certification within 90 days of hire.
  • SOC trainer certification within 120 days of hiring.

Nice-to-haves

  • Clear understanding of TCOM and client-centered philosophy.
  • Experience in training.
