The Imaging Assistant at Waukesha Memorial Hospital plays a crucial role in supporting patient care within the Imaging Services department. This position is focused on assisting radiologists and technologists during imaging procedures, ensuring a positive patient experience through effective communication and support. The role is part-time, specifically scheduled for every other weekend, and involves various responsibilities related to patient transport and care.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a patient transporter and imaging assistant to support the patient experience.
- Greet patients and families, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Transport patients to and from various imaging procedures safely.
- Assist technologists with patient positioning and workflow during imaging exams.
- Coordinate radiology exams and manage supply inventory.
- Answer and respond to telephone calls in a professional manner, taking accurate messages.
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned equipment and rooms after each use.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
