The Imaging Informatics Analyst at Nemours is responsible for supporting end users in the effective use of IS Imaging Informatics applications and electronic medical records related to imaging. This role involves analyzing workflows, managing system updates, and facilitating the implementation of hardware and software solutions to enhance clinical information systems. The Analyst collaborates with management to evaluate system effectiveness and engages in process improvement initiatives to optimize user proficiency.

  • Provide direct support to end users for IS Imaging Informatics applications and electronic medical records.
  • Participate in building, testing, and validating new functionalities and custom configurations.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, and technical issues related to clinical applications.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization activities.
  • Collaborate with senior management to plan, implement, and evaluate systems and services.
  • Coordinate system updates, changes, and enhancements to support clinical information needs.
  • Facilitate the installation and implementation of hardware between IT, patient care, and business process teams.
  • Prepare charts and diagrams for problem analysis and submit recommendations for solutions.
  • Manage and coordinate team tasks and maintain documentation such as issue lists and meeting minutes.
  • Achieve and maintain application-specific certification as per vendor requirements.
  • Provide on-call support to end users to enhance proficiency in imaging informatics applications.
  • Conduct clinical workflow analysis and assess the need for workflow redesign.
  • Assist in configuring imaging applications for Radiology and other clinical departments.
  • Support the Teleradiology program including project scoping and daily management of issues.
  • Participate in the evaluation, testing, and validation of new releases and upgrades.
  • Develop project management skills and utilize methodologies to achieve project goals.
  • Lead projects impacting multiple teams and facilitate change management.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an Associate's degree with equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in a related role.
  • Strong software and application knowledge, particularly in clinical and electronic medical records.
  • Experience with project management methodologies.
  • Applications specific certifications as required.
  • Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) certification preferred.
  • Prior clinical experience preferred.
  • Project management experience preferred.
