Imaging Service Engineer 1

About the position

Sodexo is seeking an Imaging Service Engineer 1 for Lowell General Hospital, an acute care hospital in Lowell, MA. Under supervision, this person will inspect, repair, maintain, and calibrate basic diagnostic imaging equipment, devices, systems, and instruments. Additionally, the engineer will interact with other clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems. Employees at our healthcare sites play a crucial role in enhancing patient experience and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all medical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner.
• Repair, maintain, and calibrate medical imaging devices in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices.
• Specific experience with medical devices or equipment such as DiCom, Siemens, Toshiba, Philips, GE Healthcare, XRay, Ultrasound, C-Arm, Cat Scan, MRI/CT, Radiation Therapy, Nuclear Medicine, Wet or Dry Processor, General RF, Clinical Asset Management, Accelerators.

Requirements

• Experience repairing, maintaining, and calibrating medical devices.
• Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills.
• Specific experience with medical devices or equipment such as sterilizers, vents, dialysis, pumps, anesthesia, monitors, general biomedical equipment.
• Certification as a Biomedical Technician (CBET).
