About the position

The Imaging Service Engineer I at FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled service work on medical imaging systems. This role involves preventative maintenance, installations, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution. The engineer will work independently on routine tasks but will require assistance for more complex issues, all while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance as directed.
  • Perform unscheduled maintenance work with the assistance of technical support.
  • Work independently on preventative maintenance work, requiring assistance on unscheduled maintenance work.
  • Perform installations and de-installations of products and peripheral equipment as directed with some assistance.
  • Maintain excellent working relations with field personnel, home office personnel, and management.
  • Communicate effectively with management to escalate issues and customer concerns.
  • Complete administrative duties including electronic expense reports, weekly timecards, and service records.
  • Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
  • Utilize the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Ensure all administrative duties and paperwork are completed accurately and submitted promptly.
  • Be prepared to work odd hours and overtime as required and travel as needed.
  • Maintain exceptional customer relations and manage assigned tools/test equipment and spare parts.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or computer science discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum one year of previous field service experience.
  • Knowledge of assigned equipment for timely repair and effective maintenance.
  • Active listening skills and above average customer service skills.
  • Sound organization and administrative skills, self-starter required.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills to convey technical issues simply.
  • Capable of operating test equipment related to the job (oscilloscope, meter, diagnostic testers, etc.).
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in medical imaging equipment service.
  • Familiarity with FDA and ISO 13485 standards.
