About the position

The Human Resources Benefits Specialist at Intesa Sanpaolo IMI Securities Corporation is responsible for designing, recommending, and implementing benefits programs while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This role serves as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits and manages relationships with vendors and third-party administrators. The specialist will oversee benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations, and will coordinate data transfers for benefit services. Additionally, the position involves conducting audits, managing defined contribution and benefit plans, and organizing employee onboarding sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, recommend, and implement new benefits programs.
  • Forecast trends and assist with future benefits design.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits.
  • Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for benefit services and plan administration.
  • Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations and reporting accuracy.
  • Manage benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations, including COBRA guidance.
  • Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files and update payroll records as necessary.
  • Examine employee data for cost allocation and prepare invoices for payment of administrative fees.
  • Work collaboratively with Vendor Management to ensure vendor contracts are complete and updated.
  • Negotiate contracts and evaluate vendor performance to meet service levels and cost targets.
  • Responsible for annual plan audits and prepare data for actuarial assessments.
  • Manage Defined Contributions and Defined Benefit Plans, including annual 5500 filings.
  • Organize and conduct employee onboarding orientation sessions.
  • Oversee Leave of Absences programs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in a helpdesk administration role.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and applications.
  • Strong experience in managing and administering US benefits for an international organization.
  • Strong analytical skills and thorough knowledge of plan designs.
  • Ability to evaluate and make judgments on proposals (RFPs).
  • Thorough knowledge of benefits contract language.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with a diverse employee population.
  • Practical expertise in drafting HR policies and procedures.
  • Capacity to exercise independent judgment with discretion.
  • Excellent PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Undergraduate Degree with a strong focus in Human Resources.

Nice-to-haves

  • HR and CEBS Certifications strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience with Cisco a plus.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $90,000 - $140,000
