About the position

The Human Resources Benefits Specialist at Intesa Sanpaolo is responsible for designing, recommending, and implementing employee benefits programs. This role serves as the primary contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries and ensures compliance with applicable regulations. The specialist will manage benefits enrollments, oversee vendor contracts, and conduct audits, while also providing guidance on HR policies related to benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Design, recommend, and implement new benefits programs.
  • Examine possible plan designs and benefits cost updates.
  • Forecast trends and assist with future benefits design.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits.
  • Coordinate data transfer to external contacts for benefit services and plan administration.
  • Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations and reporting accuracy.
  • Manage benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations, including COBRA guidance.
  • Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files and group benefits database.
  • Negotiate contracts and evaluate vendor performance.
  • Responsible for annual plan audits and actuarial assessments.
  • Manage Defined Contributions and Defined Benefit Plans, including annual 5500 filings.
  • Organize and conduct employee onboarding orientation sessions.
  • Oversee Leave of Absences programs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in a helpdesk administration role.
  • Strong experience in managing and administering US benefits for an international organization.
  • Undergraduate Degree with a strong focus in Human Resources.
  • HR and CEBS Certifications strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting employee benefits programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and applications.
  • Previous experience with Cisco.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $90,000 - $140,000 per year.
