About the position
As a Part-Time Merchandiser with American Greetings, you will play a crucial role in helping people celebrate special moments by managing and displaying a variety of celebration products in retail locations. This position requires independent work, effective time management, and organizational skills to maintain inventory levels and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
Responsibilities
- Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders.
- Display products within greeting card departments and other retail locations.
- Maintain organized backroom areas and perform other inventory tasks as needed.
- Communicate with management regarding service or schedule questions or concerns.
- Work in a fast-paced retail environment utilizing effective time management and organizational skills.
- Build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime hours.
- Be available for additional working days and extended hours around major holidays.
- Assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested.
- Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English is required.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Access to reliable transportation for multiple retail locations.
- Access to reliable internet for job information and updates.
- Technological competency to learn and use a company-provided tablet for training and daily tasks.
- Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and days before and after major holidays.
