About the position

The Junior Accountant position at Career Strategies, Inc. is a full-time role focused on customer credit analysis and maintaining customer relationships. The role involves collaborating with the billing team, performing monthly bank reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy in invoicing and payments. The position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform customer credit analysis for all branches of the company.
  • Maintain customer relationships and communicate delinquent or credit balances on accounts.
  • Collaborate with the billing team to ensure all adjustments are correctly reflected on invoices.
  • Audit invoices and invoice payments for accuracy, vetting balances to customer payments or credits.
  • Analyze inconsistencies in billing and accounts receivable, thoroughly investigating the process.
  • Respond and provide payroll tax, system-generated reports to state/local agencies.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliation for 5+ accounts, working closely with the Accounting Manager on variances found.
  • Ensure billing inconsistencies are rectified and work closely with the Payroll team to ensure necessary adjustments.
  • Timely completion of assigned tickets pertaining to invoices, collections, client statement requests, and invoice disputes.
  • Work directly with customers regarding billing issues/concerns.
  • Manage billing setup on customer records.
  • Provide backup support for processing bank deposits, batching, and weekly generation of invoices for 20+ branches.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills with proven attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, sumif/sumif formulas, and IF statements.
  • Minimum of 2+ years working in general accounting tasks.
  • Experience with bank reconciliations is a plus.
  • Ability to manage fluctuating workloads and provide outstanding customer service.
