About the position

The Infant/Toddler Teacher at St. Joseph Early Childhood Center is responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting. This role requires a deep understanding of child development principles and the ability to design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that foster growth and learning. The teacher will engage with children in a way that promotes their physical, emotional, and social development, ensuring that each child feels valued and supported. The position demands a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized classroom, as well as adhering to health and safety regulations to protect the well-being of the children. In addition to direct interaction with children, the Infant/Toddler Teacher will collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience. This includes participating in staff meetings, contributing to curriculum development, and communicating effectively with parents about their child's progress and needs. The teacher will also be responsible for observing and assessing children's development, documenting their progress, and adjusting lesson plans as necessary to meet the diverse needs of the children in their care. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment. The position is full-time with an immediate start date, and it requires the candidate to be Virtus trained and to pass a satisfactory background check. The work schedule is during the day, and the role is performed in person at the center.

Requirements
