About the position
We are seeking a bilingual Spanish-speaking associate attorney to join our fast-growing boutique immigration law firm located in the Chicago West Loop. The ideal candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for immigration law and will be responsible for representing clients in various immigration matters, conducting legal research, and providing strategic solutions to clients. This role requires strong communication skills, a detail-oriented approach, and a commitment to serving the immigrant community.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients before the Chicago Immigration Court and USCIS
- Regularly meet and communicate with clients to effectively explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions
- Conduct legal research
- Oversee and review casework involving immigration applications, petitions, and waivers filed with the EOIR, USCIS, and ICE
- Conduct and present legal analysis to determine case strategies and benefits available to clients
- Draft and file legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree
- Licensed attorney in good standing
- Between 0-5 years of immigration law experience
- Fluent in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking)
