Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms, is seeking to hire an Immigration Paralegal to join our dynamic and collegial immigration practice. This position is based in either our Washington DC, Dallas, Miami, or San Francisco office and offers a flexible, hybrid in-office/remote working arrangement. The Immigration Paralegal will report to the Senior Manager of Legal Practice Support and will play a crucial role in assisting attorneys with the preparation and filing of a broad range of immigrant and non-immigrant petitions and applications. The focus will be on writing-intensive cases such as O-1 and I-140 Extraordinary Ability/Outstanding Researcher/National Interest Waiver petitions. In this role, the Immigration Paralegal will engage in written and oral communication with clients to gather necessary information and documents required for the preparation of petitions and applications. The position requires entering, updating, and maintaining data in the immigration case management system, managing a caseload, and ensuring timely completion of work. The paralegal will also track and manage critical deadlines, run active case workloads, and client NIV expiration reports in the immigration case management system. Participation in team meetings and continuing educational programs/seminars is also expected, along with entering and closing time entries in the firm's time recording system. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a preference for majors in Journalism, Communication, or Creative Writing. An interest in pursuing business immigration as a career is essential, along with basic to intermediate knowledge or experience in the immigration practice area. Strong writing and analytical skills, excellent prioritization and time management skills, and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines are critical for success in this role.
