Legal research on case law related to immigration is also a key component of the job, ensuring that the paralegal is well-informed about current laws and regulations. In addition to these tasks, the Immigration Paralegal will be responsible for following up on pending clients and updating them on their case progress, answering any questions they may have. The position requires efficient management of an assigned caseload, coordinating paperwork for immigration processes such as residencies, petitions, and work permit applications. Translations may also be required, making bilingual skills essential. Other duties may be assigned as needed, contributing to a dynamic work environment. This position allows for remote work, providing flexibility in the work arrangement. The pay range for this role is between $17.00 and $22.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, and candidates must be able to reliably commute to the office in Miami, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in filling out forms and gathering necessary evidence to successfully complete their cases
  • Conduct legal research on case law as related to immigration
  • Follow up on pending clients
  • Update clients with case progress, answering their questions
  • Perform translations as needed
  • Coordinate paperwork for immigration such as residencies, petitions, work permit applications, etc.
  • Efficiently manage assigned case load
  • Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

  • Must have an interest in Immigration Law
  • Must be BILINGUAL (English and Spanish)
  • Experience as an immigration paralegal and completing immigration forms is preferred
