Our consulting interns play a crucial role in this mission by working closely with clients to optimize their value streams—the methods by which they deliver value through products and services. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in consulting, where you will be involved in various project experiences that are essential for client success. As a consulting intern, you will provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance after the implementation of software solutions. You will assist in configuring and customizing these solutions to meet specific client requirements, ensuring that they are tailored to enhance operational efficiency. Quality assurance testing will also be a key part of your responsibilities, as you will participate in testing processes to confirm that the solutions meet all necessary requirements. You will gain exposure to Lean principles, which are integral to our approach at Wipfli. Collaboration with our consulting team will be essential as you work together to implement and optimize products for our clients. Understanding client requirements will be a critical aspect of your role, as you will be involved in configuring software solutions and managing the deployment process. Additionally, maintaining accurate project documentation will be necessary to ensure that all aspects of the project are completed thoroughly. Your role will also include conducting accounts payable automation and invoicing processes, which will require seamless integration with various ERP systems. This internship is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the consulting process and the skills necessary to succeed in a dynamic business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance post implementation
  • Assist in configuring and customizing software solutions to meet client requirements
  • Participate in quality assurance testing to ensure solution meets requirements
  • Exposure to Lean principles in all that we do
  • Collaborate with our consulting team to implement & optimize products for our clients
  • Understand client requirements, configuring software solutions, and deployment process
  • Maintain project documentation while ensuring accuracy & completion
  • Conduct AP automation and invoicing processes while providing seamless connection to various ERP systems

Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance or related major focus
  • Above average class performance as demonstrated by college GPA; Preferred 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Business analysis coursework preferred
  • Ability to build and foster professional business relationships
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong propensity for innovative thinking balanced with the disciplined rigor for following proven methodologies
