About the position

The Implementation Coordinator for College Algebra at the University of Texas at Austin plays a crucial role in supporting OnRamps Instructors in the effective implementation of the College Algebra course. This position focuses on building strong relationships with stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring fidelity in course delivery through professional development and support initiatives. The coordinator will also engage in ongoing communication and data analysis to enhance instructional practices and address challenges faced by instructors.

Responsibilities

  • Supports OnRamps Instructors in the implementation of OnRamps courses.
  • Ensures fidelity of implementation of the OnRamps College Algebra course.
  • Develops and implements annual professional learning institutes for OnRamps instructors.
  • Implements ongoing professional development and learning activities through communication and meetings.
  • Cultivates and leads a facilitated network of OnRamps Instructors using standardized relationship building strategies.
  • Develops and implements interventions for instructors facing implementation challenges.
  • Utilizes data to ensure fidelity of implementation of OnRamps courses.
  • Supports an instructor support system using mentor instructors and online platforms.
  • Sustains a virtual community for instructors across the state.
  • Engages in designated special projects that support the mission of OnRamps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, education, or related field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of High School teaching and learning.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage stakeholders with decorum and tact.
  • Three years teaching experience at a high school or college level.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Mathematics, education, or related field.
  • Experience providing support or instructional coaching to teachers.
  • Proficient in Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) or another LMS.
  • Proficient in Smartsheet or other Project Management system.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to lay audiences.
