The TRAILS team is excited to announce the launch of Implementation Liaison positions aimed at enhancing student access to evidence-based mental health practices in schools across Michigan. This role is designed for contractors located in Saginaw, Ingham, Ottawa, EUP, and Wayne County, who possess a deep understanding of the educational and mental health landscape within these communities. The Implementation Liaison will be instrumental in supporting school communities by leveraging their extensive experience in education, mental health, social work, or multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS). The primary focus of the Implementation Liaison will be to improve engagement with school partners, facilitate early planning, and ensure alignment between TRAILS and the partner schools. This position will involve conducting readiness assessments, providing necessary resources, facilitating meetings, and offering implementation support to ensure that schools can effectively adopt and integrate mental health practices. The Liaison will work closely with TRAILS Implementation Project Managers and Intermediate School District leaders to provide tailored support to districts facing significant barriers to implementation. As part of the 31P2-Michigan Expansion project, the Implementation Liaison will collaborate with the TRAILS team to identify the specific needs of partner districts, support the delivery of targeted informational sessions, and facilitate Social Emotional Learning (SEL) training for school staff. Additionally, the Liaison will assist in data collection efforts to monitor implementation processes and outcomes, ensuring that quality improvement efforts are continuously informed by real-time data. Regular updates and project reports will be compiled and shared with Implementation Project Managers to track the progress of local implementation efforts.
