About the position

Zycus is seeking an experienced Implementation Manager to lead and mentor junior project managers in the successful implementation of eProcurement software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, particularly in the procure-to-pay (P2P) or source-to-pay (S2P) domains, with at least 12-15 years of experience in end-to-end implementation. This role involves managing multiple challenging projects for Fortune 1000 global customers across various industry verticals and geographies. The Implementation Manager will be responsible for stakeholder management, coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success. In this position, you will lead kick-off meetings, track project progress, and ensure timely delivery of projects while evaluating time, cost, and quality metrics. You will also be involved in contract and statement of work (SOW) reviews, addressing any concerns that arise during the sales process. The role requires conducting formal weekly project status review meetings with both the team and customers, as well as managing project risks and implementing mitigation strategies. You will be expected to follow established processes, provide weekly status updates, and conduct one-on-one meetings with team members to foster effective project management skills. The Implementation Manager will also be responsible for resource planning and mentoring the internal team, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and acting as a change agent within the organization. Regular travel to customer locations for requirements gathering, project status updates, and corrective action planning will be required. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction, making it essential to excel in team management and client interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor junior Project Managers on customer projects.
  • Involved in Project / Program Management.
  • Responsible for stakeholder management - coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Guide team towards deliverables to customers.
  • Conduct formal weekly project status review meetings with team and customers.
  • Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Follow laid down processes, update weekly status, and conduct one-on-one meetings with team members.
  • Learn effective project management skills to deliver projects successfully.
  • Understand and resolve client/internal issues with processed data/software effectively and efficiently.
  • Lead new initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide assistance and mentoring on project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Resource planning and mentoring the internal team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • 12-15 years' experience in end-to-end implementation project management role is a must.
  • Experience working with Tier 1/Tier 2 services-based IT companies or Big 4 Consulting firms.
  • Excels at team management.

  • Strong soft skills in collaboration, negotiation, and influence.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong skills in Agile practices for project planning, risk identification, and mitigation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with e-procurement products like SAP ARIBA, COUPA, IVALUA, BASWARE, JAGGAER, or similar.
