The Implementation Project Manager I - HE Operations at Nelnet is tasked with providing assistance for multiple projects that span across various departments and are often regulatory, operational, or strategic in nature. The Implementation Project Manager I will be responsible for clarifying and defining project requirements, ensuring that projects are delivered within the agreed-upon timelines. This position requires a deep understanding of the project development process, necessitating frequent communication with internal managers and supervisors, and the ability to escalate issues as necessary. In this role, the Implementation Project Manager I will utilize big picture analysis to identify efficiencies, opportunities, and strategies that can enhance departmental scope, expand the customer base, and broaden the product set. The individual will assist management in organizing tasks, time, resources, and personnel to create cohesive projects that consistently yield successful outcomes. Planning and organizing work will be essential, as the manager will need to set, prioritize, and adjust schedules to accommodate sudden changes or unexpected assignments. Documentation is a key component of this role; the Implementation Project Manager I will be responsible for thoroughly and professionally documenting all communications, action plans, processes, issues, and problems. The position also involves coordinating, leading, and attending project meetings, conducting requirements reviews, and configuring system setups as needed. Additionally, the manager will conduct online training sessions with institutions, instructing them on all aspects of the products being implemented. The role includes assisting in the creation and implementation of efficiencies in processes identified during projects or process reviews, as well as developing workflows, processes, and procedures for new products or services. Finally, the Implementation Project Manager I will prepare internal and customer-facing documentation, such as user guides, training manuals, and communication templates, while advocating for customer priorities and building strong relationships with clients.
