About the position

The Implementation Project Manager II at Businessolver plays a crucial role in the successful onboarding of clients by managing project objectives, timelines, and resources. This position is designed for a professional who can effectively communicate with clients and internal teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Implementation Project Manager II will utilize in-house project management software to plan and schedule project milestones, making necessary adjustments to keep the project on track. This role requires strong influencing skills to communicate project expectations and progress clearly to clients, team members, and executive teams. In addition to project planning, the Implementation Project Manager II is responsible for creating and sustaining a high-functioning project team. This includes delegating tasks, assessing and managing risks associated with schedule changes, and ensuring that all dependent tasks are completed on time. The role also involves identifying and resolving conflicts within the project team, managing project dependencies, and optimizing the use of team capacities. The Implementation Project Manager II will demonstrate initiative and drive in a fast-paced environment, defining project success criteria and leading initiatives for continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, particularly in client onboarding, benefits administration, or SaaS solution implementation. They will possess excellent quantitative and analytical skills, along with strong written and oral communication abilities. The Implementation Project Manager II will be expected to lead multiple strategic projects simultaneously, ensuring successful outcomes in terms of scope, schedule, and budget. This position is remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a focus on delivering exceptional service to clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using in-house project management software.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations and progress to clients, team members, and executive teams.
  • Create and sustain a high functioning project team to meet project goals.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate owners.
  • Assess and manage the risk of schedule changes; create and implement action plans to remove risks and bottlenecks.
  • Work with appropriate vendors to ensure dependent tasks are managed and completed on time.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Quantitatively plan and organize project team's capacity.
  • Ensure optimal use of capacities in the group, set priorities, and ensure timely execution of all tasks.
  • Demonstrate initiative and drive within a fast-paced environment.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.
  • Identify and lead initiatives for continuous process improvements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) strongly preferred
  • Experience in client onboarding, benefits administration, or SaaS solution implementation
  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work within tight delivery timeframes
  • Change Management and Stakeholder management leadership experience
  • Fluency with MS Office tools
  • Experience leading multiple strategic, complex projects with successful results simultaneously
  • Experience defining and documenting processes, and driving continuous improvement to processes via metrics
  • Exceptional customer service to clients and internal teams
  • Cross-functional project participation
