About the position

The Implementation Project Manager for HIE Interoperability is responsible for leading the implementation of Health Information Exchange (HIE) systems, ensuring robust interoperability with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Athenahealth and Cerner. This role requires extensive experience in ensuring seamless data exchange and integration across various healthcare systems, with a focus on project management and technical support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of HIE systems, ensuring robust interoperability with EHR systems such as Athenahealth and Cerner.
  • Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activities.
  • Manage backup, security, and user help systems.
  • Operate smaller budget projects effectively.
  • Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
  • Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.
  • Provide users with technical support for computer problems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with HIE systems and interoperability standards implementation.
  • Strong technical skills in EHR integration and data exchange.
  • Knowledge of security measures and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience leading an implementation; experience as a supporting PM for an implementation will not be a good fit for this role.
  • PMP certification required.

  • Basic knowledge of computer software, such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc.
