About the position

The Implementation Project Manager at Cognite is responsible for leading multiple, concurrent, and complex implementation projects for enterprise customers, particularly in the heavy asset industries such as oil & gas, manufacturing, and power & utilities. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, while also driving customer satisfaction and adoption of Cognite's software solutions. The position requires a strong focus on project management standards, process improvement, and effective communication with both customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple implementation projects for enterprise customers in various industries.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Data Scientists, Solution Architects, and Domain Experts to design and operationalize digital solutions.
  • Define and scope success criteria and deliverables for Cognite's offerings during the Pre-Sale process.
  • Build project plans to ensure value delivery within scope and budget.
  • Oversee project execution, including personnel assignment and project scheduling.
  • Manage a complex stakeholder landscape and provide clear communications to customers and Cognite's Leadership Team.
  • Manage project risks and customer expectations effectively.
  • Communicate product development priorities and business value to Cognite's Product and Engineering teams.
  • Contribute to team culture and development by building best practices for implementation processes.
  • Participate in hiring as the project management team grows.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in leading technology implementation projects for enterprise customers.
  • 2+ years of experience in the heavy asset industry (oil & gas, manufacturing, or power and utilities).
  • Knowledge of project management processes such as LEAN, Scrum, and Agile.
  • Working knowledge of Design Thinking and human-centered design principles preferred.
  • Experience in industrial digitalization projects or product development of IoT, cloud solutions, or machine learning.
  • Proven ability to execute on end-to-end SaaS project cycle including scoping, delivery, training, and renewal.
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapes including customers, end-users, and internal resources.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience at a high-growth start-up or scale-up organization.
  • Hands-on software development or IT experience preferred.
  • Comfortable running executive review meetings and engaging with C-level sponsors.
