About the position

As a Project Manager I Implementation Comprehensive Services at ADP, you will play a crucial role in driving projects to successful completion. This position requires a strong understanding of the business environment and the ability to manage both people and processes effectively. You will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of various projects, ensuring that business goals and objectives are met within the designated timeframes and budgets. Your leadership and analytical skills will be essential in guiding projects to the finish line, maintaining a focus on quality and efficiency. In this role, you will manage all phases of project management, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure. You will create detailed project plans that outline deliverables, activities, timelines, and budgets. Directing the day-to-day activities of projects and staff within a matrixed organization will be a key responsibility, as will ensuring that milestones are met through effective oversight and resource coordination. Collaboration with other departments will be vital, as you will lead communication with stakeholders and team members throughout the project lifecycle. You will also be tasked with providing scheduled and on-demand status reports and updates, directing project timelines and budgets, and assessing, managing, and resolving risks and issues as they arise. Tailoring processes to meet the specific needs of individual projects will be necessary, as will making timely decisions based on available information and input. This position will involve working on projects of high complexity, requiring a strategic mindset and a commitment to achieving results.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure
  • Create project plans, including deliverables, activities, timeliness and budgets
  • Direct day-to-day activities of projects and staff in matrixed organization
  • Ensure milestones are successfully met through oversight of project vehicles and coordination of resources
  • Work collaboratively with other departments impacting project
  • Lead communication with stakeholders and team members through completion of the project
  • Provide scheduled and on-demand status reports and updates
  • Direct project timeliness and budgets
  • Assess, manage, resolve and escalate (if necessary) risks and issues
  • Tailor processes to meet the needs of individual projects
  • Make decisions based on information and input in a timely manner
  • Work on projects of high complexity

Requirements

  • At least three years of project management experience

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP or equivalent professional project management certification
  • Experience with project management tools and structured methodologies
  • Knowledge of functional area and related company products
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills for handling multiple and conflicting activities
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Visio
