About the position

Prime Robotics is seeking a highly motivated Implementation Project Manager to join our team and play a critical role in shaping the future of our warehouse automation solutions delivery and support. In this position, you will be responsible for managing customer relationships, both existing and new, and creating project plans for the deployment of our innovative warehouse automation solutions. You will utilize project management methodologies to organize tasks and ensure progress, while also managing various risks that may impact the realization of business objectives for both the customer and Prime Robotics. Your role will involve linking delivery to strategy, balancing perspectives, and helping others understand the business value of technology. You will apply your technical project management skills to manage launch readiness and transition to support, while also identifying, documenting, and analyzing value streams related to robotics as a service and automation implementation. As a liaison between the engineering team and the customer, you will translate technical information into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that customer needs are met throughout the implementation process. In addition to managing user acceptance testing and verification, you will become an expert in Prime's robot control system and functionality. Your ability to build trusted relationships with customers and internal teams will be essential, as you act as the voice of the customer in implementations and support. This role requires a proactive and self-motivated individual who can thrive in ambiguous situations and adapt to changing circumstances, all while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer relationships both existing and new.
  • Create project plans for the deployment of warehouse automation solutions.
  • Use project management methodologies to organize and make progress.
  • Work with the team to manage risks such as technical, project, relationship and others that might impact the realization of the customer's or Prime's business case objectives.
  • Link delivery to strategy, balancing these perspectives and helping others do so as well.
  • Understand business value of technology and be able to draft or update business cases.
  • Apply technical project management skills including experience managing launch readiness and transition to support.
  • Identify, document and analyze value streams related to robotics as a service and automation implementation.
  • Create use case, value stream, process and other diagrams to describe system interaction and behavior.
  • Assess business needs and technical requirements.
  • Be the liaison between the engineering team and the customer team including translating the technical to the not so technical.
  • Analyze options and make recommendations based on data.
  • Manage and/or perform user acceptance testing, verification and validation.
  • Learn Prime's robot control system and robot functionality becoming an expert in the use of our system over time.
  • Understand the customer and business context and how to link implementation and support efforts to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Experience providing support and coordinating support response on customer requests and issues.
  • Build trusted customer and internal relationships.
  • Act as the voice of the customer in implementations and support.
  • Perform functional support and partner with technical support and engineering for tier 2 support delivery.

Requirements

  • Extensive background in building customer relationships to successfully deploy technical solutions through the project lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to drive progress and build relationships to succeed in ambiguous situations.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing situations.
  • Familiarity with complex software and hardware systems gained through work experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically in fast-paced operational environments.
  • Exhibit a quick learning ability and an exceptional work ethic, adapting swiftly to evolving challenges.
  • Good driving record and reliable transportation to and from job locations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience with logistics, supply chain and/or Warehouse Management System (WMS) software.
  • Experience in automation, robotics, robot-process-automation (RPA).
  • Familiarity with support models, methods, and tools.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, MS Teams.
  • Prior experience in implementation.
